Purpose: Why are you writing? If you know why you are writing, your communication will flow more naturally, and the process of writing will come easier to you. Do you have a specific goal in mind? Is your goal to provide facts or other information, to make people act, or to persuade or clarify? You should begin your message with a statement
of your intent or purpose in writing.
