Tip 2: Everyone works differently, but many writers like to have at least a basic outline of the shape of their paper. Working with a pre-draft outline can help focus your draft and make the project seem manageable. Keep your outline nearby as you write your first draft, or copy it over with enough space between each section to write your draft in.
