Is it a literary text? A chart? Data from an experiment? Write your response in the box below: Step 2: Write a quick interpretation of your subject — What is it about? What can it tell you? What does it mean? What is its significance? What generalizations can you make using the information it contains? Your thoughts on the subject might be quite complex, and your final interpretation might turn out to be fairly complicated. For now, however, just write a brief interpretation of your subject: Step 3: Support your interpretation from Step #2: What reasoning did you use to come up with your interpretation? What evidence or support can you offer to show that your interpretation is the right one, or is at least reasonable and valid?
